The Schuylkill Chamber is the road to building a comprehensive network of business contacts. The opportunity to meet new people is offered through the many events offered to our membership. Networking Before 9 Breakfast is a great way to keep up on current issues that affect you and your business. Business After 5 O'clock Mixer and 5th Wednesday Mix & Mingle networking events allow you to mix and mingle with your fellow Schuylkill Chamber members. Other opportunities to build your network and get your name out there include: Annual Golf Tournament, Annual Luncheon, Walk for Progress/Taste of Schuylkill, Lunch & Learn, Schuylkill Women In Business Luncheons and countless other opportunities.


The Schuylkill Chamber represents the business community actively with our Government Affairs and Transportation Committees. The committee members keep up on the initiatives and issues that can have an effect on the business climate as well as lobby for changes to benefit the members. Seminars and events are scheduled to keep the members up-to-date on the issues. The Legislative Debate and Economic Forecast Breakfasts area just two ways to keep you in the know.


The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce offers many opportunities to market your business. Along with various publications like our comprehensive Schuylkill County Map, Quality of Life Book and Business-to-Business Directory. Visibility is also available through an event sponsorship and enhanced On-Line Directory Advertising. As a member of the Schuylkill Chamber, your business presence is found on the World Wide Web through our website on our On-Line Business Directory.


Through the Education Committee, both you and your employees are offered the chance to increase your skills. Classes are offered throughout the year. Some of the classes offered include marketing, computer courses - QuickBooks, PowerPoint, Word, Access - as well as the fun side of education - LinkedIn and Social Media. One-on-one sessions are offered through SCORE, the Wilkes Small Business Development Center, MetroAction, Northeast PA Alliance and the Small Business Administration for those businesses looking to start up, expand their operations or get into the government or global markets.


Professional growth is fostered through the Schuylkill Chamber leadership programs. Through Schuylkill Leadership, classmates form business and professional relationships as they learn about various aspects of the county. Schuylkill Executive Leadership continues to build on the leadership foundation, offering courses tailored to help the participant hone their professional skills.


The future leadership of Schuylkill County is found in our local schools. The James & Peg Stine Scholarship is offered to local students enrolling in Penn State. A connection with the local youth is made through an initiative of the Schuylkill County Commissioners - Schuylkill Youth Summit.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy - YEA! Schuylkill - is for students is grades 6-12 who have demonstrated creativity, innovative ideas, academic effort, determination, enthusiasm, the ability to communicate and a commitment to their community and family. The YEA! Academic Year begins in November and ends in May. Classes meet every Tuesday at Penn State Schuylkill Campus.
