J&J Termite & Pest Control Goes Pink to Support Local Breast Cancer Fighters
Throughout October, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce member J&J Termite & Pest Control is going pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through its annual GO PINK campaign, the company has committed donating 10% of its October revenue to support local individuals and families affected by breast cancer in Schuylkill County.
The campaign holds personal significance for J&J, as breast cancer has directly impacted the company's family, including Jared's mother, Chrissy Graeff, and grandmother, Sharon Laudeman. Their experiences helped inspire an initiative focused on raising awareness, supporting local families, and keeping contributions within the Schuylkill County community.
As part of the campaign, J&J is incorporating pink into its branding and daily operations throughout October. Technicians are wearing special GO PINK uniforms, and customers receiving pest control services during the month are contributing to the cause through J&J's commitment to donate a portion of its revenue.
J&J is also offering limited-edition GO PINK T-shirts featuring the slogan, "Bad Day to Be a Bug. Good Day to Be a Neighbor." All profits from T-shirt sales will benefit the campaign, with shirts available in limited quantities.
Local Businesses Invited to Participate
J&J is encouraging fellow Schuylkill County businesses to join the GO PINK campaign and help expand its reach throughout the community. Businesses can participate in several ways, including:
- Displaying GO PINK flyers and campaign materials at their locations.
- Incorporating pink into their businesses through decorations, products, or other creative displays.
- Making a monetary donation of any amount.
- Sharing the campaign with customers, employees, and the community to raise awareness.
Participating businesses can receive a GO PINK flyer to display, while the first 10 business partners contributing $25 or more will receive a special business partner poster.
Community members can also make individual donations through cash, check, or Venmo (@JJ-Pest).
At the conclusion of October, funds raised through the campaign will be donated to a local breast cancer fighter or fighters in Schuylkill County and their families. J&J plans to share the campaign's results, including funds raised and participating businesses, to highlight the collective impact of the community's support.
