Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Hosts Virtual Meet the Candidate Night for 123rd District
The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce held a virtual meet the candidates night on May 22, 2020. The candidates were Timothy Twardzik and John Leshko who are both running for the seat of the House of Representatives in the 123rd District.
After a blind drawing for order, John Leshko was the first to present and followed by Tim Twardzik. Each candidate presented their views on why they believe they are the best candidate for the seat.
One of these candidates will advance after the primary election and represent the republican party for the final vote in November.
At the end, Gary Hess, Schuylkill County Commissioner, gave an update on the election process do to COVID-19. Voters have the option to mail in their ballot or can go to their local polling place to cast their votes. In preparation and precaution for coronavirus, you will see some updated regulations at each physical poling place. Voters will see dividers between each station, new machines that you will insert your paper ballot, etc.
