Born in Schuylkill County and returning from college at the University of Pittsburgh, Savas G. Logothetides continues to be an advocate for community revitalization and small business in Schuylkill County. As the executive director of the Pottsville Area Development Corporation, he implements economic development and business strategy to assist in fostering sustainable growth in the community. During his tenure, PADCO has assisted dozens of small businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities with business planning, funding, grant writing, and execution. As the Principal of Wise Owl Consulting and in partnership with the Schuylkill Chamber Foundation, Savas created the IGNITE Schuylkill Program which supports local entrepreneurs of both adult and high school age. Along with PADCO’s Launch Pottsville program, Savas worked with entrepreneurs to create from concept to opening, nine businesses that helped to develop downtowns and create jobs. Savas also is a short-term real estate investor with his company Loftsville, LLC that has Air BnB offerings in both Pottsville and Lehighton.

Formerly a restauranteur and the original owner of Wheel and Crimson House, Savas transitioned out of the restaurant industry after 22 years to allow for more flexibility in his personal life. You will often see him at community events and around the county with his six-year-old daughter, Cleo. They enjoy swimming, playgrounds, ice cream, soccer, and eating pizza. Often, they will be joined with other local residents, Aunt (Thea) Chris Logothetides and Uncle Curt Curran.

As the 2025-2026 Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Savas will utilize his experience in both the private and public sector to help improve and advocate for all members. Whether its strategic planning, development, or professional guidance, he is excited to work with the GREAT Chamber team and all its members to help Schuylkill County continue to progress. In all his endeavors, Savas remains passionate about restoring pride and possibility in places that have long been overlooked, demonstrating that with the right tools and collaboration, Schuylkill County can be a place that thrives.
