The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate the Schuylkill Leadership Class of 2025, an inspiring group of professionals selected for their potential to shape the future of our region. Over the course of ten dynamic weeks, these individuals participated in an intensive leadership development program designed to immerse them in the key sectors, people, and places that make Schuylkill County thrive.
This year’s program kicked off on February 28 with an energizing orientation at Fighter’s Heaven, where participants bonded through team-building activities, heard a motivating pep talk from Katharina Stuerzl of “Leave Your Box with Kat,” and toured the historic Muhammad Ali training camp.
The 2025 class then embarked on a series of themed leadership days, each exploring critical industries and community priorities. Sessions focused on nonprofit leadership, economic development, health and wellness, project management, workforce development, manufacturing, agriculture, and more.
Each day featured expert speakers, behind-the-scenes tours, and hands-on engagement with key leaders and facilities across Schuylkill County. From exploring logistics at Walmart DC7030 and Guardian Bikes to gaining insight into local governance at the Schuylkill County Courthouse, participants were immersed in the challenges and opportunities shaping the region.
Throughout the program, the class connected with community leaders like Kim Hartman of Dale Carnegie, SEDCO President Frank Zukas, and representatives from the Schuylkill United Way, Schuylkill Area Community Foundation, and Jewel Women’s Center. Site visits included cornerstone institutions and businesses such as Wegmans, Ashland Technologies, LVHN Hospital - Schuylkill, Sterman Masser Farms, and the Yuengling Brewery. Class graduation was held at Catalpa Grove.
As a culminating experience, the class completed a community service project aimed at giving back to the region they spent weeks exploring. This year’s class took on a beautification effort at the Minersville Borough Playground, refreshing the space with new coats of paint, general cleaning, and revitalization efforts. The class is also working toward acquiring benches, generously supported by Hydro, to further enhance the playground and provide long-term benefits to the community.
The program’s comprehensive schedule and agenda were thoughtfully prepared and led by Kelly Huber, Finance and Administrative Director for the Schuylkill Chamber. Her dedication and attention to detail ensure that each year’s program delivers meaningful impact, professional growth, and long-lasting connections. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Kelly for her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to the success of Schuylkill Leadership.
