Barley Snyder Attorney Martin R. Siegel Reappointed to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Sewage Advisory Committee

York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) has reappointed attorney Martin R. Siegel to its Sewage Advisory Committee.
As a member of the committee, Siegel will have the opportunity to review and provide input on proposed and current rules, regulations, standards and procedures relating to the PA DEP’s Sewage Facilities Act. The committee is comprised of members who represent various organizations having a direct interest in the area of water and sewage as the secretary deems necessary. Siegel will serve a two-year term representing the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
“I am honored to continue my work on the committee and draw upon my experience in sewage disposal and water quality in the state,” said Siegel.
Siegel is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group and the Environment & Energy Industry Group. Prior to joining the firm, he spent more than two decades as a litigator at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection where he litigated more than 250 appeals in state and federal courts and in front of the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board. His experience has led him to leadership positions with a multitude of nonprofit organizations across central Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. He is also a prolific speaker at professional gatherings throughout Pennsylvania on environmental topics.
