Tompkins Community Bank President Joins Board At Alvernia University

In an effort to deepen its community roots, Tompkins Community Bank announced that Ginger Kunkel, market president of its Pennsylvania footprint, has joined the Board of Trustees at Alvernia University. A 32-year veteran in financial services and a recipient of Pennsylvania Business Central’s “Women Making A Difference” Award, Kunkel brings demonstrated experience in collaborative leadership and strategic business development to her position on the Board.

Her invaluable insights will play a vital role in shaping the future of Alvernia University." 

 

Kunkel is well known throughout the financial services community for her expertise in commercial, retail, operational and executive management. She is responsible for Tompkins’ growth, operations and administration throughout Pennsylvania and works to foster relationships with clients of Tompkins’ insurance and wealth affiliates. A graduate of ABA’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the University of Pennsylvania’s affiliated Wharton Leadership Program, Kunkel also attended the PA Bankers Association Advanced Commercial Lending School and Advanced School of Banking. Last year, she was included on the Lehigh Valley Business Journal’s Power 100 List for 2022.  She is also a past recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award from Soroptimist International.

Kunkel also serves on the Boards for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, Greater Berks Development Fund, Hawk Mountain Council and St. Joseph Center for Special Learning. She previously served the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, West Brunswick Township Planning Commission, Habitat for Humanity of Berks and Boy Scouts of America.
