University and other officials recognized the accomplishments of many, while looking toward a bright future January 19 in celebrating the grand opening of Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne.

“Thank you for joining us on this truly historic day for Alvernia University and the City of Pottsville,” Gregory J. Shemanski, chair of Alvernia University board of trustees, said at the event, which included a ribbon-cutting and blessing.

“This isn’t just a building,” he said. “It’s a catalyst for transformation.”

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce was honored to host a mixer celebrating the grand opening on January 19!
