Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Named 2022 PACP Chamber of the Year

GETTYSBURG, PA – The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce was named the 2022 PACP Chamber of the Year at the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals (PACP) 2022 Chamber Professionals and Leadership Conference. This year’s conference was hosted by The Chamber of Gettysburg & Adams County. The award recognizes organizational excellence and significant achievements and accomplishments.

The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce was honored as the recipient of the prestigious award for chambers with over 700 members. Award nominees are vetted and voted on by the PACP Professional Development & Recognition Committee, a committee of chamber leaders from across the Commonwealth.

“In addition to networking and professional development opportunities, the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce has proven to be a strong voice for business and nonprofit communities through government advocacy efforts, leadership programming, workforce development and talent attraction for our employers,” said Robert S. Carl, Jr., president & CEO, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber-peer-based group of volunteers selected the winner based on information submitted by eligible chambers demonstrating excellence in the following areas - membership, programs, planning, finance, strategic and long-range plan, membership benefits, and major programs and services.

Over the past two membership renewal cycles (FY 2021-2022 and 2022-2023), the Chamber achieved a 95 percent and 96 percent member retention rate.

Carl said he is extremely excited that his staff has received this tremendous recognition, validating and recognizing their dedication and superior commitment to members and our community.

In addition to recognizing organization excellence, the PACP Chamber of Year Award focuses on acknowledging one or more significant achievements/accomplishments that a chamber has initiated, stimulated and/or led in its respective service area at some point during the past 18 months.
