Ginger Kunkel, Chief Operating Officer at Tompkins VIST Bank, was named to the Lehigh Valley Business Journal's Power 100 List.

A career banker with 32 years’ experience, Kunkel joined Tompkins in December. “I’m part of a senior leadership team entrusted with our most important assets: our employees and our customer relationships. My job is to ensure that our community bankers can serve the financial needs of our communities in the most effective way possible.”

She said she is most proud of helping others develop their full potential, “especially watching someone really thrive in a role that they didn’t think they were ready for.” Show gratitude for the people in your life and take nothing for granted, Kunkel added. “Kindness is not weakness – it is strength.”

Outside of work, she said, “I love to go on new adventures and explore new places – I’m charmed by the thrill of discovery. When I travel, I learn so much about myself and I gain a new appreciation for people from all walks of life. As Americans, we are so lucky to have this freedom.”
