Black Rock Trucks & Equipment, Frackville -

"My name is Erin Boylan and I am from Scranton, Pennsylvania. On the evening of Wednesday, March 23, 2022 my family and I were traveling from Scranton to Hershey Medical Center. We decided to stop in Frackville for a bite to eat at The Black Diamond Bar and Restaurant on South Lehigh Avenue. After finishing an amazing meal, with amazing service we left to be on our way, and discovered that we had a completely flat tire. As you can imagine we were very upset, and anxious. It was now 7pm, dark, cold and raining.

Our anxiety ceased rather quickly, however, as the owner of the establishment, Amber was quick to lend us a hand. She found a kind gentleman in the restaurant that came out and changed our tire, putting on the donut. Unfortunately, the donut was flat as well and even with air would not get us to Hershey safely. Amber was quick to call around to garages to see if any were open. To our dismay, none were. Tara instructed us to go to get air in our donut, and showed us where to go. She told us to come back after filling the tire because she was going to continue to make inquiries to help us fix our tire and get to Hershey safely.

When we got back from the gas station Amber informed us that there was a mechanic waiting for us. Black Rock Trucks and Equipment left their home and came to the restaurant so that we could follow them to their garage. After following them they opened the garage after hours just for us.They took off our tire, examined it, and were able to tell that we had picked up a nail. They patched the tire and all was well. Additionally, they refused to take any money for us.

During our time in Frackville, Pennsylvania we were met with only kind, generous, and caring people. We profusely thanked everyone during the 3 hours we spent there, and everyone always responded with "This is what we do for one another around here", or "Anything we can do to help. With everything going on in the world today it was nice to find a little piece that was so warm, and thoughtful. We made it to Hershey safely, and we have the Black Diamond Bar and Restaurant, as well as Black Rock Trucks and Equipment to thank for it. They deserve all the recognition in the world."
