Description of Organization: The library provides a wide variety of informational and recreational materials, serving all of Schuylkill and parts of Northumberland counties. Materials include adult and juvenile books, newspapers, magazines, government documents, and CD-ROMS. Services include reference assistance, interlibrary loan and children's programs.
Special Requirements: Most projects require good work habits without constant direct supervision.
OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
o Running a basic computer class, using library computer
o Creating displays of books
o Indexing Pottsville Republican (requires month or longer commitment)
o Updating or creating web pages for library patrons
o Running weekly crafts and reading program for elementary age children
o Other projects available
