Project STAR Introduction
Each year, the Schuylkill Leadership class is challenged to create a project that will make a difference in their community. The 2001 class chose to develop a program to help point high school students in the right direction when completing their community service hours. Project STAR (Schuylkill Teenagers Acting Responsibly) is a listing of non-profit organizations located throughout Schuylkill County who can utilize the assistance of students. This program will help students develop interpersonal skills while fulfilling their community service hours and giving back to their community.
Every attempt was made by the Leadership Class of 2001 to contact all non-profit organizations in Schuylkill County for inclusion in this booklet.
